Sensitization Program On Tobacco Effects On Health, 24th April, 2024 organise by Substance Abuse Control Committee

Substance Abuse and Control Committee, Baptist College organized a sensitization program on “Tobacco effects on Health” in collaboration with District Tobacco Control Cell, National Tobacco Control Programme on the 24th of April 2024.

The speaker Dr I. Simon Sumi, District Nodal Officer, NTCP, Kohima, Nagaland spoke on how tobacco affects our body and is one of the main causes behind TB, cancer, oral infection and many other diseases.

He also encouraged the students to be role models in creating awareness about the affects tobacco causes on our health, environment, economy and in many other aspects.

The program was chaired by Mr Chubtse Naro,  Convenor, Substance Abuse Control Committee and vote of thanks  was delivered by Miss Imtisenla Mokholee.
