The National Service Scheme (NSS) of Baptist College, Kohima has conducted an annual Special Camp in its adopted village, Chedema Model Village under Kohima district from 24th April to 27th April, 2025. The camp is specifically organised for the NSS volunteers to imbibe discipline in all spheres of human development, to get hands-on experience on rural life and to provide community services in every possible ways.
The 4-day long Special Camp witnessed activities such as carrying out cleanliness drive in the village and its premises, visiting senior citizens and person with special needs’ homes, and having a fellowship with the Village Council of Chedema Model Village, on the first and second day of the camp. On the third day, plantation drive has been carried out in the vicinity of the village, along with the help rendered by the Student Union of Chedema Model Village. The fourth day encompassed activities such as Walk in the Nature and presenting special number in the devotional service. The NSS of the college also offered materially by donating waste bins, and handing over daily essentials while visiting the homes of the elderly and special needs.
The NSS Special Camp concluded successfully with the active participation of the NSS volunteers guided by three NSS POs along with the support and contribution from the Chedema Model Village fraternity, at large.
