The Legal Aid Committee of Baptist College in collaboration with the Kohima District Legal Services Authority (KDLSA), organised a talk on “Freedom of Speech in the Digital Era” at the Rivenburgs Memorial Chapel on August 20, 2026.
The programme was chaired by Kavilito Zhimo, B. A. 5th Semester, Department of History. The first resource person, Nagali Shohe, Retainer Lawyer, KDLSA, delivered a talk on “Freedom of Speech in the Digital Era.” The session highlighted the importance of freedom of expression , while emphasizing the ethical responsibilities involved in using digital platforms.The second resource person, Asenla Walling, Panel Lawyer, KDLSA, spoke on the NALSA (Child-Friendly Legal Services for Children) Scheme, 2024. Her session introduced the legal support and protections available to children and discussed the importance of making legal services accessible and child-friendly. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Visetonu Natso, Convener, Legal Aid Committee.
