State Level Students’ Seminar held at Modern College, Piphema Organised by the Department of History, Modern College, Piphema, 3rd April, 2025

A State Level Students’ Seminar was  held at Modern College, Piphema Organised by the Department of History,  Modern College, Piphema and sponsored by Department of Art and Culture, Government of Nagaland,  on the theme  “Nagas till the 21st Century: An Outlook into the Past and Contemporary Times”  was held on 3rd April, 2025, at the aforementioned College. There were a total of 18 individual and 4 group presentations.

Four students from Baptist College presented their papers under the initiative of IQAC:

  1. Mr. Kevingulie Metsieo, B.A 4th Sem, Dept. of Sociology, “Spiritual Transformation Among the Nagas: The Interplay of Traditional Religion and Christianity.”
  2. Ms. Kihitoli Kiho, B.A 6th Sem, Dept. of Political Science, “Myths, Beliefs and Legends of Lutshumi : The Sacred Origins and Folklore of a Village “
  3. Ms. Thejavinuo, B.A 4th Sem, Dept. of History, “Echoes of the Ancestors: Unraveling the Oral Tradition and History of the Angami Nagas.”
  4. Ms. Neizakienuo Nipu, B.A. 2nd Semester, Dept.of Political Science, “Women in Politics.”

Ms. Kihitoli Kiho won the “Best Paper Presenter”. Altogether, 8 students from Kohima and Sechü Campus attended the Seminar.
