Sociology Department Organises the Sociological Dialogue-III, 5th September, 2026

The Department of Sociology, Baptist College Kohima and Sechü Campus organised Sociological Dialogue-III on 5th September, 2026, 12:30 PM at Rivenburgs Memorial Chapel  on the theme “Student Movements in Nagaland: Analysis on their Issues, Strategies and Achievements,” with  Mr. Asenlo khing, Junior Divisional Accountant , Department of Treasuries and Accounts, Government of Nagaland and Research Scholar, Department of Political Science, Nagaland University, as the Speaker. He focused mainly on the Naga Students Federation (NSF) and provided insights into the historical development and growth of Student movements in Nagaland. He highlighted six major issues namely the Naga Political Issue, ILP and Undocumented Immigration, Protecting Naga Identity, Scholarship problems, Meritocracy in recruitment and Establishment of Meritocracy in recruitment and Establishment of Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB)
