The Skill Development Cell, Baptist College Kohima, in collaboration with Artwithaheart – Visual Art, organised a “Skill Development Workshop on Calligraphy” at Sechü Campus on 19th September , 2026, with Ms. Ajanbeni K Yanthan, a Visual Artist as the resource person.
During the workshop the participants were introduced to the fundamentals and techniques of copperplate calligraphy through a hands-on learning session. The workshop covered pressure control and guidelines, foundational basic strokes, and the golden rules of calligraphy practice. Students were also guided through lowercase letter construction, modular letter assembly, connections, word formation, ligatures, and spacing. The session further introduced techniques for writing calligraphy using self-prepared guidelines, enabling students to develop greater precision, consistency, and control in their practice.
The programme was chaired by Ms. Rüülhouü Mere, Member, Skill Development Cell, BCK, while the welcome address was delivered by Dr. Kewepfuzu Lohe, Vice Principal, Baptist College, Sechü Campus.
