On 14th March, 2026, the Department of Sociology, Baptist College, organized a rural visit to Mezoma as part of its departmental activities. The primary objective of the visit was to familiarize students with the dynamics of rural society and community life.
During the visit, the participants explored several historically significant sites, including Chakhwicha, Rhiikhuba, Morung, Dziiloubou, and Nhalie Badze. The department also conducted a village walk, allowing students to observe closely how local residents live in close-knit communities and maintain traditional lifestyles.
A total of 63 students from BA 6th Semester (Sociology) of both Kohima and Sechii campuses participated in the visit, accompanied by 4 faculty members.
