The CR’s Orientation Programme was held on 23rd June, 2026 at 2:45 PM in Rivenburgs Memorial Chapel under the theme “Representing with Integrity, Leading with Excellence”. The programme was chaired by Loinoli T. Yeptho, Literary and Cultural Secretary, Student Council.
The programme commenced with an invocation by Temsulong Walling, Games and Sports Secretary, Student Council. This was followed by a welcome address delivered by Thrunso K, President, Student Council. Thereafter, a self-introduction session was conducted for the CRs of the 1st, 3rd and 5th semesters, along with the Student Council members. Dr. Kekuchol Pusa, Principal of Baptist College Kohima emphasized key qualities of leadership including transparency, integrity, responsibility, and fostering unity. He urged the CRs to maintain their position as leaders, and to focus on academics by managing time effectively. He also highlighted the pursuit of excellence by leading through example, inspiring others through performance, striving for continuous improvement, serving with opportunity, and maintaining a friendly, approachable nature. Following this, Mr. Seyiesilie Vüprü, Convenor of the Student Council, delineated the roles and responsibilities of the CRs. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Neizakienuo Sechu, Asst. General Secretary, Student Council, Sechü Campus. The programme concluded with a closing prayer by Kikrushituo Kezo, Asst. General Secretary, Student Council.
The orientation was conducted smoothly and proved to be a successful and insightful programme for all CRs.
