NSS, Baptist College, Kohima organised an orientation program cum social work along with two NSS Programme Officer’s Ms. Naro, Mr. Kevizhalhou Medom and one hundred and six (106) NSS volunteers. The program was held on 10th September, 2025 at the college campus. The program started at1:40 pm. An orientation about NSS was given by Ms. Naro, NSS programme officer to the new enrolled volunteers. She briefed the NSS members about the benefits, works and duties of the NSS volunteers. She addressed that the duties of the NSS members should identify with the needs, problems and resources of the community, plan programs and highlighted the benefits of certificates and rewards. There was a selection of NSS leaders to lead the NSS volunteers out of which four students from BA & B.COM 3rd semester were selected as leaders. NSS also donated three waste bins to the college.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kevizhalhou Medom, NSS programme officer along with the BA & B.COM 5th semester NSS volunteers conducted the social work by cleaning the college surroundings. After the social work was over the NSS Programme Officers along with the volunteers had a photo session and departed after a light refreshment.
