The NSS committee of Baptist College, Kohima, conducted an NSS Orientation-cum-Social Work Programme on 18 August 2026 at the college campus. The programme aimed to familiarise students with NSS activities, responsibilities, and opportunities. The NSS Committee donated four moppers, Harpic, phenyl, room fresheners, and garbage bags to the college to promote cleanliness and hygiene. The Principal addressed the NSS Committee and encouraged the volunteers to actively participate in NSS activities and social service. An orientation session for New NSS volunteers and the registration drive for MY Bharat was conducted by Ms. Naro. This was followed by “My NSS
Experience” by Liben N. Humtsoe, who represented Nagaland at the VBYLD at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi and VVVP in Himachal Pradesh. He shared his experiences and encouraged students to make use of the opportunities available through NSS. The programme also included the selection of NSS leaders ,where four new NSS volunteers were selected . After the orientation, the volunteers participated in a social work activity on the college campus. About 140 volunteers and 3 NSS programme officer attended the program. The programme concluded with light refreshments and ended on a positive note.
