Women Welfare Committee, Baptist College along with Women’s Hostel, Baptist College, Sechü Campus organised a program on 8th March, 2023 to commemorate International Women’s Day under the United Nations 2023 theme, DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality and the IWD’s campaign theme: #EmbraceEquity. The program was held at the Multi-purpose Hall, Women’s Hostel. The main event for the day was Extempore Speech competition where Ms. Razouvinuo, B.A. 4th Semester, of Political Science Department and Ms. Eneirhi-u Chirhah, B.A. 6th Semester, of Political Science Department, bagged the first and the second position respectively. The program was chaired by Ms. Veshetsülü Rüho, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology. The judges for the competition were Ms. Loly Chophy, Member, Women Welfare Committee and Assistant Professor, Department of English, Ms. Rüülhouü Mere, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science and Ms. Thejano Krose, Office Assistant cum Warden, Women’s Hostel. Altogether twenty-one people including staff and students attended the program.
