A Felicitation Programme recognizing outstanding academic performance and exemplary attendance was held on 31st July, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in Rivenburgs Memorial Chapel, Baptist College, Kohima. The event, chaired by Mr. Kevizhalhou Medom, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, commenced with a Thanksgiving Prayer by Mr. Tamreimung Chüsi, Chaplain.
Dr. Enünü Sale, Assistant Professor, Department of English, outlined the objectives of the Performance-Based Reward, emphasizing the creation of a motivating environment that recognises achievements and inspires continuous excellence. Voluntary speeches by award recipients Ms.Jessica Futhina and Ms. Rokuotonuo Rio expressed gratitude to the institution and encouraged peers to pursue academic distinction.
Dr. Kekuchol Pusa, Principal, Baptist College Kohima (Sechü Campus), congratulated the awardees for their dedication and noted the pride they brought to the college. The exhortation was delivered by Mr. Vipralhou Kesiezie, Chairman, Governing Body, who highlighted perseverance, goal-setting, and commitment as keys to success while underlining the vital role of teachers as nation-builders.
Awards were conferred upon University Toppers, Department Toppers, students with 99% and above attendance, and teaching and non-teaching staff with 100% attendance for Odd Semester 2024 and Even Semester 2025. Seventeen students, fifteen teaching staff, and six non-teaching staff were recognised. The Mavericks Academy–Academic Excellence Award was presented to Ms. Nourhevinuo Pienyü (Political Science) and Mr. Krishna Thapa (Commerce).The programme concluded with blessings for the outgoing students by Rev. Dr. Mechiehol Savi, Member, Governing Body, followed by a photo session and refreshments.
