Educational Tour to Shillong, 19th – 22nd April, 2023

The B.A 6th Semester students of the Department of Political Science, Baptist College, Sechü campus organised an educational exposure trip to Shillong, Meghalaya from 19th April to 22nd April, 2023. A total number of seven students accompanied by Mr. Neisengulie and Ms. Rüülhouü Mere, Assistant Professors, Department of Political Science, went for the trip. The group visited North East Hills University (NEHU), the Golf Links also known as the ‘Glen Eagle of the East’, Krang Shuri Falls, Dawki River which is the boundary between the Jaintia Hills and the Khasi, the Living Root Bridge, where the Khasis and the Jaintias mastered the art of wrapping thick roots to form the structure of the Bridge with a capacity to hold 50 people and the Mawlynnong village which holds the record for the cleanest village in Asia.
