The Eco-Green Club, Baptist College Kohima, organised an ‘Awareness Talk On e-Waste Management’ on 7th October, 2026 with Ms.Bendangwala Walling, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, E-Circle as the resource person. Ms.Sevolu Chuzho, convener of Eco-Green Club chaired the talk while Mr. Asilie Rurhia invoked God’s blessing. The talk focused on why e-waste management is important and what e-waste is. Ms.Walling emphasized on how we have linear economy and circular economy, and why circular economy is more efficient for the environment, as it allows for recycling instead of just discarding the e-waste as landfill. A call for action such as segregation of waste, awareness campaign and student led monitoring or partnering with e-waste recycling will be a good initiative to reduce the percentage of e-waste accumulated. The resource person also encouraged students to sensitize one another for a better environment. The program ended with a vote of thanks from Mr. Jonwang Wangha, followed by a group photo session and light refreshment.
