Baptist College Kohima & Sechü Campus successfully conducted the Cr’sOrientation on 16th July, 2025 at Rivenburgs Memorial Chapel under the theme “ Voice of the Class, Bridge to the Faculty.”
The program was led by Ms. Kenlumngausilie, Women Co-Ordinator, Student Council. The program started with an invocation by Ms. Ngapam Konyak, Finance Secretary, Student Council. The President, Student Council, Mr. Daniel Konyak gave a welcome address where he congratulated the newly elected class representatives for their success followed by self introduction of all the class representative and student council members of both the campus.
Dr. Kewepfuzu Lohe, Principal, Baptist College, was the speaker who challenged the students to step up to work, influence and motivate one another to achieve a goal. He also took the classroom as an example, a place where student can build themselves. He also explained three important types of leadership such as Autocratic leadership, Laissez-Faire and Democratic leadership and compared the three leadership and stated that democratic leadership is the best type of leadership in the present scenario. In conclusion, he encouraged the student council members to lead with faithfulness and integrity and sets a good example to the students through their performance and in their academics. He congratulated and wished the best of luck for their tenures as leaders.
The roles and responsibilities of Cr’s was explained by Mr. Seyiesalie Vüprü , Convenor, Student Council. Followed by a discussion hour where the representatives stood up and shared their grievances and agenda in the presence of the principal, convenors and student council. Mr. Khoshito, Asst. Games & Sports Secretary, Student Council, delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging all who contributed to the success of the program.
The program ended with a benediction by Mr. Liben N Humtsoe, Asst. General Secretary, Student Council, followed by photo session and refreshment.program 3
