Career Guidance and Academic Counselling Program on ‘New Age Career in Digital Era’ was organised by the Career Guidance and Academic Counselling Committee, Baptist College in collaboration NIIT Ltd. on 25th April. 2023 at Rivenburgs Memorial Chapel Hall for the of B.A and B.Com 6th Semester. Mr. Wele Mero, Program Advisor: Career Counsellor and Territory Head, NIIT, North East Region was the resource person.
Basing on the topic “New Age Career in Digital Era” Mr. Mero gave an insight on the youth lacking firm set of goals before graduation thus leading to the rise of unemployment, coupled with the lack of employment opportunities in the state. For those interested in competitive examinations, he encouraged the students to keep a strong vision and to start working towards it. Moreover in this digital era where everything around us is digitalised, he shared that a shift to digital career will be a smart option and to support the statement, he apprised the students on the work culture in multi-national companies.
