Baptist College, Sechü Campus Annual Parent-Teacher Meeting, 28th April, 2025

Baptist College, Sechü Campus, successfully conducted its first-ever Annual Parent-Teacher Meeting on 28th April 2025 at the Indoor Stadium, Sechü Campus. Miss Rüülhouü Mere, Assistant professor in the Political Science department, chaired the meeting, which commenced with a solemn invocation pronounced by Mr. Pelevituo Nipu, Warden of the Boys’ Hostel.

Dr. Kekuchol Pusa, the Principal of Sechü Campus delivered the welcome note. Addressing the gathering, he stated the importance of the symbiotic role of parents and teachers in the comprehensive and holistic development of students by building a supportive learning environment. He also emphasized the vision of the NEP 2020 education system as a transformative endeavour, extending beyond academics and encompassing vocational education. He further highlighted the core objectives of the meeting: to establish an institutionalized robust mechanism for strengthening parent-teacher collaboration in enhancing academic excellence and to diligently monitor students’ attendance records, progress, and conduct.

Following the welcome address, Mr. K. Peter, Assistant professor in the History department and member of PTC, provided an inclusive briefing on the modalities of the interactive session. Parents were thereafter guided to designated rooms for one-on-one interactions with their respective assigned faculty members, wherein individual students’ academic progress, attendance, personal development, and behavioural patterns were meticulously discussed.

Subsequent to the room-wise deliberations, all the parent-teacher reconvened at the venue for an open forum. During this session, parents shared valuable feedback and constructive suggestions aimed at augmenting the academic rigor with students’ enrolment capacity, infrastructural facilities, and overall developmental strategies of the campus. The interactive session facilitated a milieu of collective responsibility toward the continuous enhancement of institutional standards.

The meeting concluded with a closing remark by Dr. Khobu Tsolo, Assistant Professor of Sociology department who expressed sincere gratitude to all the parents for their esteemed presence, valuable insights, and steadfast support in the shared educational mission. The formal proceedings ended with a session of informal fellowship over refreshments, further strengthening the bond between the faculty and the parent community.
