Baptist College participates in the Inaugural Programme of the New Hostels & Study Falcon Project

The inaugural programme of the New Hostels & Study Falcon Project funded by ICAR was held on 28th February 2025 at the Multipurpose Hall, Nagaland University, School of Agricultural Sciences, Medziphema Campus. The event was chaired by Prof. Akali Sema, Pro-Vice Chancellor, NU, Medziphema Campus, with Dr. R.C. Agrawal, Deputy Director General (Education), ICAR, New Delhi, as the Chief Guest. The programme commenced with a dedication prayer by Pastor Nahang Chawang of the Spirit of Faith Church, followed by the unveiling of the plaque by the Chief Guest. Prof. L. Daiho, Dean of NU, SAS, delivered the welcome address, and Er. Merijan Tsopoe, J.E. (C), presented the construction report. Mr. Vinay Goel, Core Team Member of The Study Falcon Project, and Dr. Mary N. Odyuo, Project Incharge, introduced the project, emphasizing the role of Artificial Intelligence in education, equipping students with career guidance and entrepreneurial skills. Dr. Odyuo reported that 1,200 students from Nagaland University and seven affiliated colleges had registered for the programme, with the best ten trainees set to receive startup support. Dr. Agrawal, in his address, highlighted the importance of passion, emotional intelligence, and knowledge, urging students to think beyond personal career growth and work towards societal betterment. The event concluded with words of gratitude from Dr.Anthony V. Richa, Deputy Registrar, NU, MedziphemaCampus, expressing appreciation to all participants and emphasizing the project’s transformative potential in shapingfuture leaders. Ms. Alito Swu, Asst. Professor History student coordinator for the project represented the college at the inaugural programme. Seventy (70) students from Baptist College has enrolled for the project.
