Baptist College Organises the 42nd Parting Social 2026: 15th April, 2026

The 42nd Parting Social of Baptist College, Kohima was organised on 15th April, 2026 at 10:00 AM in URA Academy. The programme was held with much enthusiasm and elegance under the theme “Stepping Forward with Purpose.”

The formal session was chaired by Ms. Akina K. Yeptho, Vice President of the Student Council, who conducted the proceedings with poise. The programme commenced with an invocation by Mr. Kevizhalhou Medom, Co-Convenor of the Student Council, seeking divine blessings for the success of the event. This was followed by the singing of the College Anthem.

Mr. Thrunso K., President of the Student Council, delivered the welcome address. Dr. Kekuchol Pusa, Principal of Baptist College, Kohima, shared a short message for the outgoing students followed by a special song Mr. Temsulong Walling of B. Com, 4th Semester. Next representing the outgoing students, Ms. Jasmine Konyak from B. Com, 6th Semester, Kohima Campus, and Mr. Alumpi T. Sangtam from the Department of Sociology, 6th Semester, Sechü Campus, shared their reflections and recalled fond memories of their college days, and encouraged their juniors to make the most of their time in college.

On behalf of the juniors, Mr. Enibemo Kikon of the Department of English, 4th Semester, delivered a speech conveying appreciation and best wishes to the seniors. A touching song titled “Adieu to the Seniors” was presented by the students of the 4th Semester.

Dr. Theyiesinuo Keditsu, Assistant Professor, Department of English, Kohima College, spoke on the inspiration of the students to pursue their dreams with clarity, conviction, and a strong sense of direction.

Ms. Achile Thou, Assistant Games and Sports Secretary of the Student Council, proposed the vote of thanks. She expressed gratitude to the speaker, dignitaries, faculty, students, and all who contributed to the success of the programme. The formal session ended with a closing prayer offered by Mr. Tamreimumg Chüsi, Chaplain of Baptist College, Kohima.

The programme was followed by refreshments and an informal session. Overall, the 42nd Parting Social was conducted successfully. It not only honoured the outgoing students but also left behind cherished memories and inspired them to step forward into their future with purpose and determination.
