The National Service Scheme (NSS) of Baptist College, Kohima organised a Special Camp under the motto: “Not Me, But You” in its adopted village, Kiruphema Basa Village, Kohima from 27th to 29th March, 2026.
The first day of the camp consist of cleaning the council hall, primary school and anganwadi hall of Kiruphema Basa Village, followed by a fellowship with the village council in the evening. On the second day, visitation to the elderly homes and presentation to the elders in the village above 80 years, along with a drive on cleanliness and plantation on fruit and green plants were carried out. The third day witnessed activities such as walking in the nature and organising a fellowship among the campers. The camp witnessed recreational activities in the evenings.
48 NSS volunteers participated in the Special Camp, where they were divided in groups of two, assigned with various tasks based on inculcating the value of life skills, team work, cooperation and development of interpersonal skills. Three NSS Programme Officers (POs) initiated the camp and assisted the campers. Altogether, the special camp concluded successfully with the assistance rendered by the council, youth leaders and people of Kiruphema Basa, and the active participation and coordination of the NSS campers and POs.flyers 0202
