The 43rd Sports Meet of Baptist College was held from 23rd-25th October,2024 under the theme” Empower Through Sports,” with Mr. Vipralhou Kesiezie Chairman, Governing Board, Baptist College as the Guest of Honour at Seikhazou Ground, Kohima and IG Stadium.The Event was organised by the Student Council Committee, BCK. The inaugural program was chaired by Ms. Supon Lam,Vice President, Student Council, Baptist College. Invocation was pronounced by Mr. Tamreimung Chüsi, Chaplain, welcome address by Dr. Kewepfuzu Lohe, Interim Principal, and a special song was performed by Mr. Verasü, BA 1st semester, department of Sociology, followed by a speech by the guest of honour and Oath Taking and torch lighting ceremony.
The 1st day of the sports meet held at Seikhazou Ground saw various sport events like Basketball, volleyball, tunnel ball, Shot Put and Javelin, Arm wrestling, Table tennis, and badminton.
The 2nd day was held at IG Stadium where race, football, women’s penalty shootout, tug of war etc were played.
On the 3rd day, final matches were played for football, volleyball, Tug of War, High/ long jump and Naga Wrestling. The 3 day Sports Meet ended with the closing ceremony on the 25th of October,2024 with Ms. Ngapam Konyak, women Coordinator, Student Council, BCK, as the chairperson, prize distribution by Ms. Ngupchin Ong,Asst. Games and Sports Secretary, Student Council, Baptist College and the vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Kihitoli A Kiho, President, Student Council, Baptist College. Ms. Illi Awomi,
Social and Cultural Secretary, Student Council, Baptist College pronounced the benediction. The official announcers for the event were: Ms. Ngapam Konyak, Ms. Khrohino and Mr. Jesse Kapfo. Team Saramati emerged as the overall Champion followed by Team Japfü, Team Dzükou and Team Shilloi respectively.
