Kohima Science College (Autonomous), Jotsoma, hosted its first-ever Inter-Collegiate Tournament from 6th to 8th August 2026, featuring competitions in men’s futsal, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball. The tournament brought together colleges from across Nagaland and aimed to promote teamwork, discipline, friendship, and sportsmanship among students.
Baptist College, Kohima participated in the tournament with two men’s futsal teams, one men’s basketball team, and one women’s basketball team, with approximately 40 students and members of the Student Council representing the college.
The BCK “A Futsal Team” delivered a commendable performance, advancing to the semi-finals. The other participating teams also competed with enthusiasm, commitment, and discipline, representing the college with pride and sportsmanship.
The tournament provided students with valuable exposure to competitive sports, opportunities to interact with students from other institutions, and a platform to strengthen teamwork and camaraderie. The Student Council also actively supported and coordinated the participating teams throughout the tournament.
Overall, Baptist College, Kohima’s participation in the tournament was a meaningful and successful experience. The BCK “A Futsal Team’s” advancement to the semi-finals was a notable achievement and reflected the dedication and sporting spirit of the participating students. The college appreciates all the players, volunteers, and members of the Student Council for their commitment and contribution towards the successful participation of the college.
