The 1st Semester Camp of Baptist College, Kohima, was held from 25th to 27 July, 2025 with the aim of providing spiritual enrichment, fostering fellowship, and offering a holistic experience for newly admitted students. A total of 211 participants attended, including 139 students from Kohima campus, 21 from Sechü campus, and 51 support members comprising of BCF executives and the cooking team.
Across the three days, a series of spiritual and motivational sessions were conducted on themes such as True Love Waits, Be Holy for I Am Holy, Nature and Character of God, and Father Issues and the Heart of Forgiveness. The sessions were facilitated by Mrs. Viphrünü Chüsi and Mr.Tamreimung Chüsi, and English Department faculty members Dr. Enünü Sale and Ms. Süvilü Venuh who are also part of the BCF Committee attended the Camp. A 14-member team from Shalom provided counselling and prayer support throughout the program.
Recreational activities like team based activities were initiated to encourage teamwork and participation and programs which highlighted creativity and spiritual expression. The camp proved to be both spiritually uplifting and socially engaging. It allowed students to reflect on faith, identity, and relationships while fostering unity and community spirit. The guidance of resource persons and the support of counsellors were instrumental in making the program a success.
