The Nagaland Medical Students Association (NMSA) in collaboration with Nagaland State Aids Control Society (NSACS), and Red Ribbon Club (RRC), Baptist College, Kohima organised an awareness cum blood donation drive on 9th July, 2022 at 10 A.M in the College campus, under the theme “Learn to Serve Humanity” as part of the 24th General Conference.
The comperes for the programme were Mr.Yarti Longkumer and Ms. Thejaneinuo Chakrumo. The opening prayer was pronounced by Mr. Neico Kapfo, RRC member, Baptist College. Welcome Speech was delivered by Dr. Sentinaro, Coordinator, RRC, Baptist College. Mr. Yemkong Somba, RRC member, Baptist College presented a special number, followed by presentation.
The afternoon programme began with Awareness Sessions on Oral Hygiene by Dr. Myingthungo Ngullie, Mental Health by Dr. Temsulong Pongener, and Blood Donation by Dr. Avila Sangtam. Mr. Aremnochet T. Changkiri and Ms. Mercy Longkumer presented a special song followed by the Vote of Thanks by Mr. Moaren Pongener. The day-long programme ended with the Blood Donation Drive. Thirty students donated blood during the blood donation drive with twelve donators from RRC, Baptist College, Kohima and eighteen donators from NMSA fraternity. All the members of the Medical Committee and RRC, Baptist College attended the programme.
