The overall aims and objectives of. Baptist College Disaster Management Committee are to provide broad understanding about the basic concepts of Disaster Management.
Aims:
- To promote Prevention and Preparedness for disaster
- To undertake Mitigation and Risk reduction steps
- To prioritize Rescue and Relief operation
- To undertake Rehabilitation and Reconstruction
- To develop or enhance awareness among the students about disaster risk reduction.
Objectives:
- To understand basic concepts in disaster management
- To understand definitions and terminologies used in disaster management
- To understand types. and categories of disasters

- To understand impacts of disasters
- To induce knowledge to create appropriate planning. preparation and response for emergency treatment in disaster situation
