A Talk on Population Control : Roles and Responsibilities

To create awareness on the issues of population explosion among the students, the Department of Sociology, Baptist College of both Kohima and Sechü campus organized a seminar on 30th July, 2022 at Rivenburgs Memorial Chapel under the theme ‘Population Control: Roles and Responsibilities ‘. The session was chaired by Miss Megosieno Mor, Assistant Professor. Mr. Kevizhalhou Medom, Assistant Professor invoked God’s blessings for the session after which a warm special number was presented by Mr. Mütsa L Kajiri of BA 5th semester. The resource person Miss Samlam Michui, Program Officer, Family Planning Association of India, Nagaland Branch shared on sexual wellbeing, birth control methods on family planning, sexual hygiene and sensitized issues relevant to sexual abuse. Miss Michui ended her speech challenging the students whether they are responsible enough to uphold all those responsibilities in the upbringing of children or not. The session was concluded with a vote of thanks by Miss Menuhole Savi, Assistant Professor.  All together 82 students and 5 teachers attended the program.
