Library Orientation Programme for the New Batch (2026), 17th- 22nd June, 2026

The Baptist College Library successfully conducted a Library Orientation Programme for the newly admitted students of the 2026 batch across all departments of the Kohima Campus on 17th, 18th, 20th, and 22nd June 2026 by Ms. Aluonuo Theünuo, Asst. Librarian, Baptist College. The orientation aimed to familiarise students with the library and its resources, emphasising the importance of the library and reading in academic life. Students were introduced to the library’s rules and regulations, available resources and services, and the procedures for accessing and utilising these services effectively.

The programme sought to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to make the best use of the library throughout their academic journey. The sessions concluded with an interactive discussion where students had the opportunity to ask questions and clarify their doubts regarding library facilities and services.

As part of the orientation programme, temporary library cards were distributed to all newly admitted students to enable them to access library services immediately. These temporary cards will subsequently be replaced with smart library cards, which will serve as their official library identification throughout their course of study.
