On June 5, 2026, the Eco Green Club at Baptist College, Kohima together with teachers and students celebrated the World Environment Day on 5th June,2026 by conducting various activities.
“One Minute Eco Hacks” reel video competition was organised by the Eco Green Club. Participants created engaging one-minute videos showcasing easy, everyday environmental solutions to promote sustainability through social media. Ms. Ketoukhrienuo Kire, B.A 2nd Semester, Political Science Department won the first place with 75.2 points, followed by Mr. Nerheilo (B.A 2nd Semester, Sociology and Mr. Chemong L, B.A 4th Semester, History Department in second and third positions, respectively.
The day began with a campus clean-up drive, where teachers, students, and club members actively collected litter, removed weeds, trimmed plants, and maintained the Eco Garden. This hands-on effort fostered a cleaner, healthier campus environment while reinforcing the importance of caring for nature through practical action.
