Navigating Professional Pathways in the age of Artificial Intelligence

The Department of Commerce, Baptist College Kohima in collaboration with NEDFi and YouthNet conducted a presentation on “Navigating Professional Pathways in the age of Artificial Intelligence” for the Commerce students on 27th March, 2025 at Rivenburgs Memorial Hall. The Resource person for the event was Esther Angami, Supervisor – Training and Talent Management, YouthNet. She started with a brainstorming session for the students which was followed by a brief introduction and profile of YouthNet.  The Resource person highlighted on the four Es- Education, Employment and Livelihood, Entrepreneurship and Environment- the various initiatives and projects undertaken under each activity.
The presentation provided a good overview of popular AI tools which students can use for research (e.g. NotebookLM), employment (naukri.com, MONSTER, Linkedin), entrepreneurship (ONDC, shopify), careers and scholarships. Detailed discussion was done on the website: Advancing North-east, which is an initiative of NEDFi. The participants were asked to join the website www.advancingnortheast.in and the resource person showed the different ways of exploring it and for using it to benefit users. In conclusion, the presenter invited the participants to visit the YouthNet Incubation Centre for future assistance with regards to training or funding.
